William T. Charlton, Jr. , Ph.D., CFA

Billy is a Managing Partner at BH. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1995 and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas, Austin in 1994. Billy previously earned an MBA in Finance from St. Mary's University (San Antonio, Texas) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He worked for Hewlett-Packard for five years as a field engineer, where he was the district systems and network specialist. Billy was an associate professor of finance in the E.C. Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. His academic work focused on the investment constraints faced by financial institutions. Billy's research has been published and presented in journals and conferences around the world. Billy developed the internationally recognized Student Managed Investment Fund (known as the Spider Fund) and CFA Track programs at the University of Richmond.
